EMCI Register congratulates

with the EMCI company certification



Smelne is the 1st Dutch yacht brokerage to be certified against the new EMCI Register certification standard for yacht brokerage companies. 


Smelne also has three individually certified yacht brokers, namely Wypke Veenje, Henk van der Velde, and Kees Kaptijn.


EMCI Register congratulates Smelne and its yacht brokers on achieving certification.


With these certifications Smelne distinguishes itself emphatically. Smelne underlines the importance the company attaches to top quality and professional service. Customers of Smelne can rely on a personal approach and to-the-point professional service.


The company certification focuses specifically on business processes and procedures and is linked to annual surveillance audits and three annual recertification. 


The individual certification focuses on the personal competence and integrity of the yacht broker and is linked to five-year recertification periods. All Smelne yacht brokers work according to the tested and certified Smelne company procedures.


Certified yacht brokerage companies and yacht brokers fall under the operation of the EMCI Register code of conduct EMCI.PD.002), scope-process-procedure requirements (EMCI.PD.003), and complaint handling, including disciplinary law and sanctions (GNG.PD.014).
